Liverpool v AFC Bournemouth

They have some team called Bayern Munich 3 days later. I wonder where their heads will be. My guess is they will want the title more if it came down to it.
They do have a lot of injuries at the minute, although Henderson, Wijnaldum and TAA have been raised to slight doubt, so we might see some of these.
I watch Bayern a fair bit, they look well below par this year as the table shows. They also have a lot of injuries, Robben close to returning, Ribery and Neuer still on the mend, and Muller out for both legs against LFC.
In the end, it's hard to know how both managers will prepare for that match-up.

And they now have our big Canadian star in their lineup. He's got me watching Bayern now.

Bayern is at the stage where they must bring in younger players. Robben 35 (I still love to watch him play) , Ribery 35, Lamm is gone, Neuer suddenly injury prone. They play a lot of games each year, always in the Champions League, and it seems to be affecting guys like Hummels, who looks slow and unconfident. Lewandowski always moaning. Davies and Hudson Odoi if they can get him could be part of the next crop. Kimmich and Muller are the heart and soul right now. Bayern will need hard work and some luck to close the gap on Dortmund.

Interesting.

Highs and Lows

After the high of Wednesday night after beating Chelsea at Dean Court for the first time. It was a convincing win, especially with the four goals the Cherries scored in the second half of the game. Our next game was only three days later and it was away to Cardiff City. Our fans were wondering if this was the end of our recent bad run of games away from home. Sadly that was not the case and AFCB were done by two early goals, one in each half. The weekend ended on a low with our 8th league defeat on the trot away from home. The last time we scored away from home was away at Manchester United on the 30th December.

The next game is also away, this will be a tough one, as the Cherries visit Anfield to play Liverpool who were the league leaders until Wednesday night when Manchester City beat Everton 0-2 at Goodison Park, to go top on goal difference. They have not lost at Anfield this season so far and the only points dropped were in the two draws, against Manchester City and in their last home game against Leicester City. Liverpool are the second highest scoring team at home after Manchester City. Liverpool have scored 32 goals after 12 games, they also have the best home defensive record, conceding 7 goals in 12 games. They are the only team to remain undefeated at home.

Liverpool have had a very good start to this season and since our game in December they won all their remaining games of that month. At Anfield they beat Manchester United 3-1. Then they travelled to the Black Country to play Wolves, Liverpool winning 0-2. Back at Anfield to play Newcastle United which finished 4-0, this was the half way stage of the season, after 19 games Liverpool had 51 points. The last game of the month and year they thrashed Arsenal at Anfield 5-1.

Beginning of the new year and it started with two away games, first a 2-1 defeat against Manchester City, followed with a 0-1 win at Brighton. The last two games of January were at Anfield, a 4-3 win against Crystal Palace and a 1-1 draw against Leicester City. The one game in February so far ended with a 1-1 draw away to West Ham, that is two draws for Liverpool in their last two matches.

Last season in the Premier League at Anfield, we lost 3-0, amongst their scorers was Mohamed Salah, he netted his 30th goal of that extraordinary Premier League season he had, where he finished with a record 32 goals. The previous season the Cherries came away with a point after drawing 2-2. In our first season in the Premier League Liverpool won 1-0.
In all competitions AFCB have won 1, drawn 3 and lost 10.

Liverpool Player To Watch
Mohamed Salah the Premier League leading scorer this season with 16 and also has 7 assists. Scored a hat-trick against us in December at Dean Court. Two others are Sadio Mane 11 goals and Roberto Firmino with 9 goals.

AFCB Team News
Lewis Cook and Simon Francis out with long term injuries. Recently added to the injury list are David Brooks with an ankle injury and Callum Wilson with a knee injury, both players expected back late February. Nathan Clyne on loan from Liverpool will be ineligible to play. Jefferson Lerma back on the bench at Cardiff, will probably come into the team.

AFCB Player To Watch
With Callum Wilson out it will be up to Josh King to step up and score the goals like he did against Chelsea. Also important will be Jefferson Lerma in our midfield.

After we lose away to Liverpool & Arsenal it will be 10 defeats in a row away from home which unacceptable at any level quite frankly.

Has minty got another username?

Time to judge is at the end of the season given the irregularity of fixture timing plus injuries ie 50% of our back four now changed and we have rarely fielded a fully fit fab four of Wilson king brooks and Fraser.

Of the ten (if we lose two more)

6 Not surprising to lose: Arsenal, Liverpool, spurs, Man Utd (ole not Jose), Man City and Chelsea in league cup (should exclude)

2 Tough: wolves and Everton. Both games we dominated and let in late goals to flatter home side with defensive errors

2 Disappointing; Newcastle (but unpredictable as shown by beating city); Cardiff (Sala effect huge)

So it sounds bad but whilst disappointing it’s not unacceptable given the injuries imho

Had a pint at lunchtime.... conversation with a Chelsea fan who described a Slow Train journey across Devon and Dorset and how " your boys done us up a treat"..Then his Night Train to London after the game.....sounded like a Blues Album from Nashville says I ! with Blue Train Blues! Big King Stomp and Brooksy Shuffle!
A Scouser informed me that Liverpool will have no problems on Saturday....... " You mean Before 3' o'clock of course? " was my reply!

AFCBade, it's unacceptable. It's not just because its 10 defeats in row it's the manner of those defeats, some truly lethargic and inept performances. Hard or not no excuse for the lack of desire and the defending.

No..its not acceptable for players to show no desire or have inept or lethargic performances but its easy to its exaggerrate that over a run of defeats....however Eddie would be aware of it and its his problem! No amount of whining on here will change anything....however any encouraging comments on here might get back to the players ...they will benefit from Support , which is our purpose above all....if not say nothing and leave it to Eddie!
10th in the table...from a team that has not been settled for any period this season is some acheivement .....the whole squad deserves 100% positive accolades for their patience around this injury situation!

Believe that and you will believe anything.
Scousers are trying to build up their team for the CL cup clash.
We are just going to be brushed aside on the way according to them
