Found my first EU fresh item in the fridge , cherry tomatoes country of origin Spain, fortunately I am Brexit ready and sourced both UK & Morocco alternatives and there cheaper and there was me thinking food was going to be scarce and price increases.
I'm glad I did this little experiment cause it just makes you realise how little fresh fruit, veg and meat is actually from EU countries, Meat is nearly all British , Fruit & Veg is mainly UK interspersed with a few South American, North African counterparts for the more exotic. There was a time the UK couldn't produce many different types of fruit & veg especially out of season, But the Dorset Naga Chilli world's 2nd hottest chilli (but claimed top spot for a number of years) is a prime example of how things have changed , due to polytunnels and super greenhouses.
Todays Project fear from the BBC. What Brexit means for half-term holiday plans
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-49974027
Yet the minds of many potential holidaymakers are somewhat scrambled by Brexit. The government's planned exit day is 31 October - the Thursday in the middle of some schools' autumn break.
Where have the BBC got these minds from..................................
"The concern is neatly summed up on the message board of parental chat room Mumsnet, where one post says: "I don't want to spend lots of money then stress the entire holiday about travelling back."
I enjoy a good laugh on a Monday Morning, but seriously is Project Fear that desperate, Mumsnet, I think everyone would agree if the BBC posted Bournemouth Vitals Forum as a source while still laughable it would still be more credible and that's saying something
.
It's a bit like quoting Druss or Jim's concerns and worries without quoting any of the other responses.
Jim posts "i'm worried about the school half term holiday cause of Brexit"
Derek responds "WTF Jim holidays won't be affected you idiot"
