How do we know that we haven't?
Bill missing the Brooks signing there, obviously!

Perhaps we have scoured the lower leagues... but something is wrong with the way we try to close deals?
Cardiff have signed four championship players for a total of about £27.5m, and they are being tipped everywhere to go down because they haven't signed quality.
If you're looking in the lower leagues below the championship you're likely to find only people of the quality of Simpson, who many think should be loaned out as he's not yet ready for the first team. You're very unlikely to get a prem-ready player out of league 1[/QUOTE
See your point and that's the standard way of viewing it...but even the bookies are way out sometimes ..it's about other things than perceived quality i.e. teamwork, dressing room spirit, captains and Managers gelling it all together.
We will get an indication of the Cardiff players quality soon.
Burnley signed Wood( 10 goals) from Little Leeds!
We were tipped to go down with 'L1 quality ' players three years ago!
There are quite a few expensive flops in an average season in the PL that come from Top Foreign Leagues.
If Brookes, L.Cook, Hyndman and our next midfield signing from the Championship form a creative force that keeps us in a top ten I think that will change a few views.
Seems Brighton are following in our footsteps and possibly signing a player from Sheffield United.
Brighton are interested in Sheffield United defender Jack O’Connell, Sky Sports News has learned, and are prepared to pay £6m for him, as the Premier League club’s pursuit of Liam Moore has stalled.
We told you earlier this week that Moore had handed in a transfer request to try to force through his move to Brighton, but Reading are at this stage holding firm.
Chris Hughton wants a centre-back to add to his defensive options, and has now turned to O’Connell, who was a key player for Sheffield Utd last season, appearing in all 46 Championship matches.
