Pre Match trial of outside area - observations

Who is 'one' and do you talk like that in real life because I can't imagine for a minute you getting away with it in the RAF. As far as I can see, people have a choice if they want to socialise and drink at the ground or not, so I doubt they need a lecture from someone who doesn't even go. They also have a choice if they want to pay more for a pint than elsewhere.

It looked very popular to me so I suspect the majority welcomed it.
I don't recall lecturing anybody. I am puzzled as to why anybody would want to pay exorbitant prices for low quality gassy lagers served in plastic beakers.

I went for a pint in the Philharmonic Dining Rooms in Liverpool last night and it was more expensive than any of the other local boozers I went in... My choice and was worth it, well worth a visit next time AFCB are in town.

4 pack of kestrel on kings park field is good enough for me,

Up in Southampton yesterday, had a couple Wetherspoons, just down the road from uhhh tesco express near centre... cant recall its name.

Seemed fine. I'm not into ipa's or perfect pint as such.... well, not at all really. I guess if you are, may be a bit more discernning.

Been there mate. 4 cans of wife beater from Tesco Express at Pokesdown, sit on the bench where every dog in the park for some reason wants to pay you a visit, pat their heads say hello to the owners and jobs a good 'un. You've saved yourself a fortune and slightly nullified your senses for whatever might happen on the pitch.

Absolute classic pub. First pub to gain Grade 1 listed status. Tbf there are many other great pubs in Liverpool from an architecture (and beer !!) point of view.

Possibly the most exuberant toilets I've ever seen. After the old New Stand ones and the away end at Exeter obviously.

I went in there and really wanted to take a photo but there was a bloke having a piss so I thought better of it. I did get chatting to him about urinals though... They are pretty special though in our defence (not my photo) ....

I liked the 'pop up' bars scattered around the ground. It saved me a lot of time queueing and allowed me observe our fine team of stewards police the 'soft ticket show'. All stopping the old boys, fully bedecked in AFCB merch, to produce their tickets and often ignoring the others. I sailed through several times without showing mine.
On entrance to the main stand, I was requested to be searched, not verbally but with mime, by a senior charmless chancer. Not so much as a thank you or kiss my a$se once search complete. My seat within the ground also allowed me to observe steward pedantry at its finest. I only go to half dozen home games a season, I attend the majority away games, where, with very few exceptions (Brentford), get treated with respect, common sense and humor. All of which AFCB could learn a thing or two about.

Did anybody else witness hot dog gate behind the North Stand yesterday? Somebody bought one from the kiosk outside the ground while queuing up and when searched was told he wasn’t allowed to take it into the ground. Had to stand by the security and it it before he was allowed in.

Brings a whole new level of overkill by the security team and new meaning to the game of ‘hide the sausage’ !!!
