Agree with that...he saw the Cherry badge on my car window...and gave it a bit of Big Club Bullsh*t.... however he did acknowledge that we played great football in the PL...but most of his rhetoric was bragging!
I managed to not let him get many words in edgeways by mentioning our 'pupils' Chelsea a few times!
They want some ?..they get it if im around and ' in form'. ! :loser:

Surridge got lucky a few minutes after coming on. Didn’t really pull up any trees when he played for us. Good deal for us when he was sold.

Huge shock that you don't rate Ake. Honestly never saw that coming. Wonder what it is about him you don't like. Funny how you're on here singing the praises of 'one of our own' yet we had loads of youth payers performing well for our actual team on Friday and not a peep of praise from you. Really scratching my head here why you don't like them.

Am intrigued to what anybody saw in Surridge to come to the conclusion that he is anything more than a squad player at this level at this moment in time. I certainly wouldn’t have faith in him to lead the line on his own in this current system, the job that Dom does is vastly under appreciated and we would feel his absence big time if he wasn’t there. Any forward we bring in has to have the attributes to play the lone forward role, it’s no good bringing in a natural goal scorer if they don’t fit into the way we want to play. That’s exactly what we did with Defoe and look how that turned out.

Are you serious...I didn't knock Ake!..an MC fan did !
You should maybe read peoples posts more slowly and comprehensively ..ha....
And I've banged on mercillously over the past two year about the young players getting a chance...when the 'stars' don't perform!
I think your hard up for arguing material.. ha.

It doesn't need saying that our youngsters did well on Friday...the result says it..versus a team fresh out of the PL.

Let's see what happens when the 'stars' return..before we all get too hyped up and hysterical !
 
I don't mind getting ragged ..its all part of the banter ...gagged is another challenge ...for anyone of my detractors up for it !

Why did you mention Ake at all? What is the relevance to this thread?

Apparently it doesn't need saying that our youngsters did well on Friday but it does need saying that Surridge scored a goal for bunch of northern cloggers. And apparently it also needs some strange comparison with Nathan Ake.

Which of our current crop of youngsters do you rate Brian?

Agree that does beggar the question why. Like I said you can't fault Dom's effort and maybe the three managers after EH were and are hopeful that they can be the one to change his goalscoring fortunes.

It was a comparison of how people rated Ake and Surridge....that's all...and I just happened across a MC fan who said stuff !

I rate All the youngsters..why not ?
But then neither I or many others on the Forum are experts are we? ..I know f√ck all in reality ...
Who is to say that our team in another season might not switch to the clogging methods... and as I said in another post. . as soon as we drop a point or 3 ..the other team is labelled hoofers or clogger's.
We have to adopt an adaptable strategy to cope with such stuff...or we get not very far!

He could of got anything between 15 and 20 goals for us if used enough and economically...OK maybe I guess kind of limited to be of much use in a PL...but poachers are bloody handy in any Div!
