Southampton v AFC Bournemouth

The Pompey thing is now worthy of seeing from another angle....using Pompey to wind us up ..sort of 'by proxy' because they are too embarrassed to confront us ' on derby' .... so quaint and twee.. not known anyplace else in the football world ? although maybe strange stuff between some London clubs ?

A Saints fan has admitted to me that this is very much the way it is and he himself was of that thinking around the time we beat them 2-0 at home. He has now recognised us and thinks many of them will change when we win our first at St
Marys ..he said when not if ! ...however if Pompey ever get back up......we might as well be Wimborne!!!

A Positive:

Probably the only ' derby' known to football where you can sing..

"We are Not going to get our F#####g Heads kicked In ". !
Oh I don’t know about that. When I went to the game at the Dingly Dell in 86/87 there was a lot of objects including bricks being thrown at us in the police escort to and from the train station!

Yeah remember that...I was there !...and was very lucky to get back to my ship in Pompey unharmed.......but that was then with terrace type mobs....its pretty much pussy now surely with all the women and kids crowds!

Moving down here for University tomorrow: settle in, watch the game and start the away reports again... fingers crossed for a win!

Big news from them - Injury blow for Saints as last weekend's goalscorer Moussa Djenepo is ruled out of tomorrow night's clash through injury. #afcb

Can’t say I’ve watched much of them but this lad had looked very promising and had been starting ahead of Bertrand I believe. A big loss

Result for us if he is not playing. Dread to imagine the outcome of a one on one with him and Steve Cook. That said, Redmond is "back in contention" - I have always rated him, and he often causes us problems. I can't imagine he won't start.

It’s my least favorite formation but with Lerma and billing being two of our top 11 we are made for the 4-2-3-1. Lerma and billing as the 2. Fraser cook brooks(when healthy) as the 3 and Wilson up top.

That’s a hell of a line up and a formation perfect for those players skills.

I was hoping Redmond wasn’t going to be available.

Let’s hope the ‘talk the talk’, becomes the ‘walk the walk’.

Heard it all before, que wee man slicing every cross into the stands and Cook laying it to the opposition on a plate!

On the unlimited mini-magic bus, full of optimism but no Rob Trent. There's a couple of rumours swirling, one he's on his yatch somewhere in the Med, meeting with some Colombian k-tel, making sure there's enough "snow" for the Christmas party season. The other, more improbable is, he's on a well earned holiday with his family : )
Let's hope we see a performance from our lads this evening : )
