The Never Ending Jukebox Track Three


Evocative, I first heard this in A Clockwork Orange, a great film, and fantastic book , for disaffected youth! Film was banned in this country for quite a few years
 
Eagles came to town on the weekend. 50 year anniversary tour. Featured full playing of the Hotel California album, with accompanying symphony musicians and a choral group. Short break, followed by the greatest hits package.

Harmonies still strong and musicianship first class. Some of the solos a bit stretched, but Henley still produces and Joe Walsh gets the crowd on its feet.

The addition of Vince Gill after Glenn Frey's death was controversial but he adds quite a lot with his country tone. I couldn't find any quality recent concert video, so here are two very familiar songs which sound just a bit different under Vince's lead.

btw, Glenn's son Deacon joined on stage for a couple of songs.

Occurs to me that the Eagles, the Doobies, James Taylor and Jackson Browne have all been in Toronto this year. All 50+ years in the business. Not sure how many more we will see them.
