Marc Pugh

It's sad when you think of it, legends getting older and closer to retirement... Pugh, Daniels, Francis all AFCB legends who are not likely to be here in a few years...

Sad in a way when they leave but their spirit lives on and helps creates the bond that ties fans to the club for generations.

Without all those legends since I started watching in 1969, I would have given up watching afcb when we were frankly rubbish in the late 70s and early 80s and then when sank back to division 4 a few times in this modern era. This will be a legacy for players like Pugh, cook, Daniels and tommy that go beyond the bricks and mortar that people always refer to when discussing legacy of the prem era and will inspire future generations that never even saw them play.

Probablythe form of Fraser may be something to do with it as they play more or less in the same position.

That would be very sad to see but if Solanke is another that can also fill in out wide à la King then his chances of making an appearance would drop to almost zero so you could understand it.

Will be a huge shame but he'll be forever a Cherries legend and his is one autobiography I would look forward to reading.

Currently waiting on Yann who must surely have one in the works.

He contributed more to the game today than Mr Ibe ever contributes - Looked bright, skilful and scored a great goal - but I suppose he is not the future and Eddie is someone who is always thinking well ahead.

Taking the rose tinted glasses off, you’d still have to say Pugh well below the standard today. He plays too many passes blind. I think it’s a case of him not quite being up to the speed of the game so he has to try a risky pass as otherwise he knows he’ll lose the ball.

He was better after the break and it was a great goal. We all know with time and space he can still be effective. Hopefully, he can get a move to a decent L1 club - I think he’d be perfect in the role Anderton played for us 10 years ago
