I caught some of the charity shield post match stuff on 5 live today when they were talking about Liverpool and very much singing Wilson’s praises. Seemed strange as I’d heard he wasn’t in their squad today. They were talking of him as Liverpool’s ‘Foden’ in a way that suggested they were pretty certain that he’d be getting game time for Liverpool this coming season... hopefully they don’t know what they’re talking about on the latter point and he signs for us.

Difference between whether they loan him to us or sell him.
 
Once again..Do not sign anyone from Liverpool.
If you say Klopp is a good manager, then respect his decision to sell.

Liverpool are widely recognised of having the best use of analytics in the PL. It forms an integral part of who they sign. Presumably they keep stats on their current players too and this plays a part on who they decide to keep and who they let go.

What worries me in all our transfer dealings with Liverpool is what are we seeing in all these players that their analytics department don’t see? There is a reason why they are letting these players go.

I know with regards Wilson, the concern is he is over reliant on shooting from distance which is not sustainable in the long term. All these spectacular goals may well “add another million to his value” but for shrewd operators like Liverpool, it’s just an excuse to get a better deal.

Sounds a wise strategy. Unfortunately when Liverpool sell they seem able to double the fee! Having said that I do like Solanke; seems to look stronger with a decent pre season.

Your strategies, be they financial or tactical, seem to be based on emotions! Surely they can't all be bad, law of averages and all that. We must be due a good 'un soon on that basis?
 
Hope he doesn't come, I know a bottler when I see one. Bottled the playoff final & Liverpool are a curse.
