AFC Bournemouth v Everton

Good second half. I thought Solanke up front gave us a bit extra. Think Wilson benefitted. King second half really came to life. Fraser added some oomph.

Great to see Cook back, terrific game. Billing good as ever. Centre backs and keeper absolute top class. Rico good going forward, still some hesitancy at the back. Stacey will take a while to adjust from L1, a few errors, feeling the pace, needs some games.

The surprise was how poor Everton were. We are now on a level with them.

Brooks coming back will be a welcome headache.

Overall a routine 3-1 win.
 
Re Rico. He seemed not to know where to be at the back. Their goal came from the huge space that he wasn't in.
 
Rico was relatively poor first half but excellent second half. I’m hoping that he’ll kick on from here. Stacey had a difficult afternoon overall I’m afraid - repeatedly gave the ball away. But it’s his first game - he’ll improve in time.
 
Just got back and what a good game is was to watch.

Some good performances this afternoon from our players.

Thought Lewis Cook had a good game after that long lay off with injury.

Josh King caused problems for their defence down the wing.

Steve Cook was a rock in defence and Nathan Ake was Nathan Ake, always reliable.

Callum Wilson I was expecting him to come good on the goal front today after breaking his duck away at Leicester and strikers need goals to get them going. Cool lob over Pickford for the third goal.

Bringing Ryan Fraser on changed the game and we scored those two vital goals to give us our first home win.

Sitting in 8th place this evening finishes the weekend nicely.
 
I think that's harsh on Rico. Full backs were the weakest positions today, a few poor decisions being made, especially Stacey trying to turn his wingers rather than move the ball, I guess he's realising now that Premier League wingers are a step up from League One. For me Rico was stronger second half, but the first half performance wasn't so bad that he needs getting stick

Ramsdale 8 - growing every game, will be a superstar
Stacey 7 - occasionally caught chasing the ball or trying to turn wingers, but kept Iwobi and Digne pretty quiet all things considered
Cook 8 - Still not at his best, but doing little wrong especially playing with an injury
Ake 7 - The usual clearances and stepping out with the ball, always looks good
Rico 8 - I'm giving him two and a half assists, he put the ball down for Fraser and delivered the corner for the first, plus was constantly involved in play
Wilson 6 - apart from the freekicks seemed pretty anonymous, likely due to most of the play going through king on the other flank
Billing 8 - got those long legs onto almost every loose ball, and made himself available constantly
Cook 9 - immense, he was a part of everything we did
King 9 - constant threat, coming inside scaring the hell out of Coleman and Keane, deserved a goal
Wilson 9 - the hunger for his first and that finish for his second
Solanke 8 - was bright was available, was unlucky not to do better with two good opportunities

Fraser 8 - the goal helped but was also busy at both ends
Lerma 7 - got stuck in straight away in typical Jeff style, made a dirty Delph realise that he can't bully us
