marc wilson, tomlin etc, the list goes on. upsides and downsides with having disciplinarians running the club, but from the outside it does appear we've struggled to deal with these kind of issues effectively.

particularly as we used to keep stating the amount of research that went into players character prior to signing them. I notice that went quiet a couple of years ago...

Fulham will allow midfielder Kevin McDonald to leave the club on a free transfer.

McDonald has entered the final year of his contract.

It’s understood the west London club have valued his contribution and don’t want to prevent him playing elsewhere.
 
I get that!...but we could have hawked Ibe...Fraser...Arter...and King around just to speed up the process? two out of those we lost for nowt!
 
Ibe has been available for a buyer for a while but nobody wanted him. They weren't exactly bashing his door down when his contract expired. The season was underway before he got a contract.

Fraser could have been sold last summer but the club took the decision his contribution for one season was worth more than the money on offer. Easy to criticise in hindsight given how he behaved but I don't think many called it at the time.

We have hawjed Arter around for two seasons but nobody has taken the permanent plunge yet.

King will still likely go before the window shuts. There's no benefit in appearing desperate to get him off the books.
 
I’d be happy to see McDonald here. Our ball retention in midfield has been poor so far this season. McDonald racks up passes for fun. My only concern is he’s been a fringe player for the past 2 seasons but if he could recapture his form he’d do well.

Because eddie offered them silly money to come here other wise they would not have come and now we are stuck

Yes. I think JT, like Eddie before him, doesn’t see Arter as a starter. No poetry intended. He is also on a fair whack and we need to consider that these days as we already have an expensive centre mid.

Oh come on it can't be for footballing reasons!.....nobody in their right mind is going to think that Gosling ...Billing or Lewis Cook are better footballers than Arter.
