Sadly I've seen and reported it on 3 occasions. All at home, one directed at an Asian lad, one at pretty much any black player on the pitch (they particularly didn't like Ibe) and once constantly at Boruc. Got to say that the club responded really quickly and gathered as much information as they could, no idea of any outcomes though.

You know, as well as anyone does, that the phrase "all lives matter" is a rallying call to extremists to mean that Black lives don't.

So two questions:

1. Is it of significance that Black people are more likely to be the victims of violence from law enforcement?

There will be plenty of murders or intended murders this year committed on British people, mainly on white Christians, by foreign religious extremists...that fact seems to have faded into the background for now...while the big sheeplike, in vogue focus, is on this whatisname Floyd aftermath..and with the Press and TV News Crews also hooked on Harry Windsors Diary and thrashing out gush about the likes of top tennis players dabbling with a 'mental stress' mood because 'things' are'nt as normal for their tournaments..the way is not paved to their liking.
Oh ..and get Hamiltons endorsement...on his nice 'n' easy platform.

Aside from Fact or Opinion...recent History is there for all to see...regarding Murders by Foreign Religious Extremists....if it doesn't continue into this year and thereafter to any degree then that will be me silenced...but for now...
Plenty of folk are still grieving their dead relatives...
If there is a God...He is probably the only one...despite the different 'names'.

I still feel that racism in the ground is due to a very small minority but some ill informed sheep will always follow thinking they are clever. I take my hat off to you for having the courage to step up and report these fools and perhaps this is the only way we can all get the message across that this isn't acceptable in this day and age.

If we're fans of the NHS then we're all Marxists to a degree.

However, not for one minute do I believe those doing the boing have taken a careful, critical reading of Marxist literature and decided it's not for them. At the same time, as Del points out, the players have made it clear that their kneeling is nothing to do with a stance on Marxism.

In which case, playing the Marxism card is just an excuse, at best, for feelings of insecurity around changing race relations, or at worst, for just outright racism.
 
Taking the knee is controversial. Sterling says it’s a powerful message. Zaha says it is degrading. Les Ferdinand says it is now no more than a pin badge. Because of its association with BLM it is like gold dust to racists. Actions rather than gestures are what really counts. Obviously for players there is little they can do in terms of actions so they are left with gestures. Hopefully someone can come up with a gesture, or better still an action, that all except racists can unite behind. There is much disagreement on this message board and I doubt (hope) that none intend to be racist.

Can we please cut out this "association with" crap? Only racists pretend that making a stand (or kneeling/wearing tshirts) against racism is political.

I remember how the thread about not being allowed to wear poppies on the England shirts went. It was wrong by FIFA then and its wrong by the boo'ers now.
