F uck the Nazis

Why do you think they removed those political references? Because the vast majority of anti-racists don't support it and a minority view harms their main message. The players who kneel have clarified that they don't support it and that's not good enough for you?

Taking the knee will always be seen as supporting the political movement by who? You? How come you think you've got a better understanding of what the people involved in this protest support than the people themselves?

I don't think it's possible to be anti racism whilst booing this gesture. The reasons behind the gesture have been clearly and explicitly stated by the players. Those who want to ignore this and come up with alternative reasons that suit their opposition to it are completely disingenuous and everyone knows it. Including you.

Yes, I don't really hold strong views for or against taking the knee, but making the effort to actually boo seems quite strong for someone who isn;t at all racist.

It barely even registers for me, so seems odd that someone apparently indifferent would take an active stance against it.

In the UK, 46% of black people live in poverty, 19% of white people. When those numbers are much closer together I'll accept there's no racism.

I dont think there is much we can add to that apart from the 46% and 19% coming 'closer together' and challenging the ' gentlemen's club'....politics of Great Britain.

Does anyone know whats going on Here ?

The Forum in general beggars belief.!

This sh*ts been going on for hundreds of years. !

The Gentlemen's Clubs....!

No I don't. Well done. In a world where image is now so important, only some celebrities make the proper effort to eradicate racism because they in fact care. Others only hop on the bandwagon to not be ostracised.
And that’s why some fans are booing!?

Know your history. Colin Kaepernick started taking the knee after a sit down protest during the American national anthem didn't get noticed. It had nothing to do with BLM at the time. You paint it a certain way because it suits your agenda.
Also, it would do well for people to understand how the kneeling actually came about...

https://www.npr.org/2018/09/09/6461...-player-who-advised-kaepernick-to-take-a-knee

Instead of sitting for the national anthem, it was suggested he kneeled as it was more respectful but still had a message

if you think within our fan base and supporters, which is a cross section of society, we do not have our share with racist views then I think you are kidding yourself.

you didn't read my comments properly, or chose not to understand them

I said that we may well have racist fans, just that I hadn't met any

Personally I wholeheartedly disagree with the booing, and no matter what you’re opinion, you shouldn’t be booing players before a game.

I also disagree with taking the knee and am fed up by people in the media telling people what their booing for, how do they know?

Yes, it’a been very clear that taking the knee isn’t for BLM, but for racial equality, but there’s absolutely no denying taking the knee started for BLM. You can’t suddenly decide “oh people don’t like this, we’re going to change what we’re doing it for”

You can’t start putting your middle finger up at the barman then decide “my reason for doing this is to say hello”

The whole of the FA, Premier League and football fluffed it up to start with by putting all their eggs in 1 basket regards taking the knee without doing any research

I do believe the media are an absolute disgrace and are intent on making this an absolutely massive issue before the tournament since it gives them something to write about, when in reality you ask 95% of people and they don’t care

I would like to know what tattoo's the players have and why. :blah:

Which part did you miss removing a statement does not hide the fact what they represent

"The group, whose co-founder Patrisse Cullors has described herself and fellow co-founder Alicia Garza as “trained Marxists,” removed a page titled “What We Believe”

That's right the co-founders are "trained Marxists" by their own admission.

You can't just remove text to wipe the origins of the BLM and their ideals, much the same as you can't re-write national socialism and then suddenly the Nazi salute is acceptable. BLM adopted bending the knee and because of it's Marxists roots which cannot be denied, will forever be tainted and seen by many as a political statement supporting the BLM movement.

I guess the people who boo for whatever reason will never change no matter what is said to explain why the knee is taken.

There were people saying “they’d never watch another game of football” when this all first started.

You're telling me what I'm not allowed to do yet here you are telling footballers that their gesture is in support of a political movement despite them explicitly stating that it is nothing of the sort. Who are you to ignore someone's clearly stated intention and dictate to them what they really think?

You might be obsessed by some unrelated political activists but that doesn't change the clearly stated objectives of the actual group of players we are discussing here.

It’s really interesting that those on the right are the ones who feel threatened by sportsmen opposing racism.

Always the same.

Initially they didn't like black lives matter because 'all lives matter' but then you scratch the surface and all lives quite obviously don't matter.

Same with violent protests... "I have no issue with peaceful protests it's just the violence I'm against"... Then you see their views on Colin Kappernick's peaceful protests and you realise they are just full of ****************.

So it's all actually kind of simple, abandon the knee that has now been tarnished by the political goals of the BLM, and unite behind something new, purely for sporting events, it's not as if there wasn't already "Kick out racism" and other initiatives in place, many will always see bending the knee as BLM no matter what anyone says, while many players may think it's about solidarity and equality, they won't look deeper into what it really represents and how the "Paying public" and fans conceive it.

Make no mistake the BLM movement is about division and the further our players and the general public distance themselves from it the better.

"All lives matter" and that's non division.

Please remember whatever the ins and outs this all came to prominence after the murder of a career criminal druggie scumbag who stuck a gun in a pregnant womans stomach, while what happened to him was wrong, this is no role model, hero or revolutionary.

The hypocrisy of all of this BLM certainly didn't matter when innocent shopkeepers and civilians of colour were killed during looting & rioting.

I see you like to follow a similar tactic of referring to a "scumbag" (exactly the same word) just to suggest that there are degrees of concern we should feel.

As far as I can tell, you're the one doing the dividing.

For a third time, you don't get to define what other people's protests are about no matter how many times you say it. How simple is that for you?
