That's Scott Parker. Stubborn, ignorant, inflexible ****************. Mitrovic wasn't a Premiership striker according to him & scored 3 goals all season, he now has 4 in 4 games and is 2nd in the Premier goalscoring charts under a proper manager.

What we will find out we didn’t actually appoint Tindall, Woodgate and Parker isn’t recreating what everyone apart from two people watched at Fulham. Excellent! I will grab the popcorn.
 
I really struggle to believe that there is that little discussion about multi million pound signings so that you could have a scenario where the board and manager are that far apart. I suspect it’s more a case of plans having to be re assessed due to change in time scales. The rate at which that happens is obviously slower in the boardroom.

Isn't this missing the point? If a manager is not up to the job, or worse not even up for the fight (Parker has effectively said we aren't competitive in this league) then surely it's not down to the fans to know who the replacement should be?!

If I told my boss that me and my team weren't up to the job, I'd expect to be sent packing in pretty short order. At the very least he should keep that s*** behind closed doors instead of constantly telling the team they aren't good enough. Today it looked like they really believed that they aren't good enough.

How much compensation did we give you for Parker can you remember? It was the hold up in him coming.

I’m really not though, none of these players have ever really impressed at PL level consistently. If they had then they wouldn’t have been in the championship with us for 2 years.

-Solanke is a very good championship striker but has never been able to produce at PL level. Not really even a debate that one.

-Cook is a very gifted footballer technically but has never been able to really impose himself on games at this level, the odd flash of brilliance but I can’t say I can often remember him running a game from midfield in the PL. Seems to be with one of these players with a ton of potential but struggles to really fulfil it thus far.

-Lerma is just overrated, I’m sorry but I just don’t see it with him. The other two perhaps have the potential to develop into PL level performers but with Lerma I just don’t see it. I can’t remember seeing many midfielders at this level who are as poor on the ball as he is, his pass completion rate must be very poor for a midfielder. It’s not even as though he really provides solid protection to the back four either, whenever he plays there are gaping holes in midfield. I get that he’s a likeable guy but I really think that people allow their judgement to be clouded by this. He’s got a great engine for sure but it’s not enough to compensate for his deficiencies at this level imo.
