Harry Wilson

If we are serious about promotion then it is reassuring that a team that would be a promotion rival are making Harry Wilson their marque Summer signing. For what he offers, he has too many other deficiencies in his game imo. Maybe Fulham are going down the route of being this seasons ‘us,’ good individual players on paper but not a particularly good team?

maybe the way they set up will suit him. he was decent at derby.

I remember Derby fans saying that if he wasn't scoring (which he did reasonably regularly for then if memory serves) you don't notice him which was spot on for me. I always thought he was a player that was rated because of where he came from, happy he's not coming back to us.

That said, he'll score against us again this season.

My other half is a Derby fan. She’ll take you (as will most Derby fans) that the key to their success that season was Mount, not Wilson.

Can’t quite believe a Championship team as decided to blow £12m on him. He’s a luxury player, looks good on the odd highlight reel but goes missing far too often.

Used to enjoy watching him play for us when he was allowed to tuck in behind the forwards. EH seemed to always want him out far too wide. Bit like David Brooks in that respect, at his best cutting in and attacking the box.

£12 million, seems Liverpool know how to get a good deal for the players they sell.

Talking of Fulham, getting an ex Spurs keeper according to SSN.

GAZZANIGA CLOSE TO FULHAM DEAL

Goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga, released by Tottenham at the end of the season, is undergoing a medical at Fulham ahead of a potential move to Craven Cottage, reports TalkSPORT.

The Argentine deputised for the injured Hugo Lloris during 2019/20 but was largely unused since the departure of Mauricio Pochettino from north London.

Fans of other clubs will say he did well for us..... he's one of those players that is judged on the odd bit of quality he produces..... it's only when you watch him every week that you realise how little he offers......pops up with the odd goal and delivers quality from dead ball situations......other than than that absolutely zilch...... can't pass....tackle or hold on to the ball ..... watching him trying to press would've been funny if he wasn't playing for us.

Looking at his stats from last season, he scored 7 goals and had 11 assists for Cardiff City.
He will get a decent amount of goals and assists at this level, especially from set pieces. Problem is that when he’s not getting these goals and assists he will completely go missing, both from an offensive and defensive perspective. Frequently during his time with us, his inability to track his runner cost us a goal. There’s a reason that despite his consistently good championship stats, that there are no Prem takers for him.
