Blake can go f**k himself. This club is a f*cking shambles. No one at board level has a clue what they are doing. Carried by EH for years and now being shown up for total incompetence. We are a joke and the board deserve everything that they get. Just a shame us fans have to suffer in the process.

AFC Bournemouth chief executive, Neill Blake, said: “Jonathan’s professionalism and leadership has impressed the board of directors since taking on the role of caretaker manager in difficult circumstances.

“The team’s performances and results have improved under his stewardship, and even our defeat at Queens Park Rangers on Saturday was a display which deserved a better result.

“As we head into a crucial part of the season, stability and clarity is of paramount importance for everyone at the club.

“With that in mind, and having concluded an extensive search for a new manager, we believe Jonathan is the best candidate to lead the team for the final 15 games of the season.”

My main issue with this is what it means long term. If by some miracle we get into the play offs and win them then we’re obliged to keep Woodgate who I think we can probably all agree is not a good long term solution.
Fail to win promotion and we’re a much less attractive proposition for any potential manager than we are now. Equally any new man has not had 3-4 months to assess the squad and will be coming in cold.

Not to mention that it’s clear to everyone that Woodgate was not the boards choice. I thought our boards incompetence couldn’t reach new levels after the JT appointment last summer, but we’ve somehow managed it.

What a joke:
- Lied about a external appointment
- cheap option... Again
- 3 weeks wasted
- Poor manager
- Doesn't play the Bournemouth way
- We categorically will not get promoted now

Also massively embrassing and worrying that he's the best manager we could attract despite our 'good' squad.

Some on this forum after our recent undefeated run said give the job to J W.

Then we get beat at QPR, a game IMO we should never have lost and had a good chance to win, but deserved at least a draw.

Then it was we don’t want J W.

Fans can be very fickle at times.

So let’s now get behind our manager until the end of the season and see where we go from there.

15 games left. Do we want to hire a manager like Henry who 1) may have to quarantine for 3/4 games? 2) get upto speed with the team 3) isn’t the right man for the job

or do we want a bloke who comes across really well, has ground out some decent results and seems to have the players respect.

Im certainly not as against this as a lot on here.

I don’t necessarily disagree with this, but it’s less the man we’ve chosen and more the way we’ve gone about it. We’ve undermined him before he’s even started.
