Non - Brexit

The whole of ' civilisation ' is falling apart...we are no more organised than in the days of tribes in pre- Roman times. If you didn't like something or somebody you went at it with a stick or stone. Now it's words and borders. No one individual is fully right or wrong....it's a crazy fest ...and during every break between meetings it's the old cheesy photo shoots " let's all stand together" with " no ang about " .. "you stand next to him, me next to her " .. straighten ties and pull skirts from crevices....then we'll all go back in the meeting , rip ourselves to bits ' Bestiality at the Banquet! Vikings with Cameras! Tw#ts!

Brexit negotiations have hit a "real problem" over the issue of the Irish border, government sources have warned.
The EU is believed to be seeking further reassurances to prevent the return of a so-called hard border involving physical checks.
Hopes of a breakthrough were raised when the Brexit secretary made an unscheduled trip to Brussels on Sunday. But talks faltered over the need for a back-up plan - known as the backstop - to avoid a hard border.
UK Prime Minister Theresa May has insisted any backstop arrangement should apply to the UK as a whole to avoid creating a new border in the Irish Sea.
But Sunday's talks had broken down after the EU had insisted on a second backstop arrangement - just involving Northern Ireland - if the UK's version wasn't ready in time, Downing Street sources indicated.
The Democratic Unionist Party has vowed to oppose any new checks on goods passing between Great Britain and Northern Ireland. And the party's Brexit spokesman has said the prospect of a no-deal Brexit is "probably inevitable".

Is it safe to come out from behind the sofa or better to invest in a bigger sofa ?

We don't want a hard Irish border, the EU don't want that either, and the Irish certainly don't. That's been the case since day 1. Surely it's not beyond the wit of man or politician to work out. It comes down to the technicalities of regulatory checks and who is prepared to be flexible though.

Any feelings on this?

A POOLE hospital medic and his family have just 48 hours before they must quit the UK.

Cardiac physiologist Paul Ermitano, his wife, Jamila, who works as a nurse and their baby son, who is just 15 months old, were told by the Home Office last week that they must return to the Philippines.

The Ermitanos have committed no crime and came here in 2015 at the invitation of the NHS because there was a shortage of workers doing their specialised jobs.

Now, however, following a mix-up over child benefit – they claimed it, were then told it was a mistake, and so repaid the money - their visas have not been renewed. The Echo also understands that because there is now deemed to be no employee shortage in Mr Ermitano's speciality he must earn at least £35,000 to gain enough points to stay.

Which individual signs off on decisions like this? Is it at a high or low level when it's discussed!( and the morality of it). A couple of similar cases have occurred in the Plymouth area, but eventually u-turned after support from lawyers and the public!

I suddenly feel very out of touch, but I don't understand how a cardiac physiologist isn't earning £35k, given that they're already a doctor and this is a further specialisation, I'd expect them to be earning a proper good wage

Read a twitter thread today that clarified what a no deal brexit actually means. Is it true that there are people out there that think a no deal brexit means status quo? Please tell me that is not the case.

Billy she will say " Let me be absolutely clear " and " Can I be absolutely clear about this", then she will say nothing that makes anything any clearer. Just like her and her cabinet say about everything, usually they add that they are "investing record amounts of money in ( whatever it is that is getting worse )".
Ask yourself, after how many months since the referendum was announced, how come none of us can see what we're getting and how and when will it be better? : )

Farage is in a walkabout in Christchurch this afternoon, then the Brexit Bus goes to the BIC for a meeting tonight.

Well I for one am absolutely stunned by this news, of all the places to target?

There’s a walkabout in Christchurch?

more control of who comes in or not

How will this control be operated and at what cost, previous attempts under the then home secretary to track net migration were a fiasco.
