Non - Tesla

Ah, wind farms the solution, there is a huge difference in their capacity and actual production.
Where are all these cars on housing estates and flats with no drive ways going to plug in. We are miles from having the capacity and infrastructure and no gov't is going to invest the money needed.

They are part of the solution, just as solar and tidal are all part of the solution.

Places like norway are already running 100% renewable for weeks on end.

There is no one solution, they are work together. The key is the car and house batteries that come along with them.

Doesnt matter what they want. The majority of cars will be fully electric by 2030.

The Tesla 3 is not niche. The Leaf and Zoe are not niche. For every 1000 family cars there is a super car and the Roadster will be the fastest performing hyper car in the world, at 10 % of the price of some of the others.

Sorry druss you quoted a 200 grand car as being the nail in the petrol coffin. It won't be. That was my niche comment.

Where do you think 35 million people will be charging cars by 2030.

There's a reason Toyota haven't jumped on the full electric bandwagon. When they do I might put a date on things.

Its the nail in the coffin of the argument about performance and range. That car trumps them both. If you want the fastest car and you have all the money in the world, the $200,000 Tesla will beat anything you buy.

People will charge at their houses, or at their place of work, or lamp posts or service stations.

Last time I checked, no one filled up their petrol cars at their houses!

How many electric charging points are there in Christchurch, Bournemouth and Poole.

Just answered my own question.

I am absolutely with Druss on this.

Electric is the future and all vehicle companies might as well just get on with it now.

Unless something better comes along, this is could well be our next car:

Forget the roadster, it's the articualted lorry that is the biggest joke.

Fantasists the lot of them.

They'll go very very bust in a while.

Remember back in the 60's when life in the future revolved round us all having jetpacks and flying cars?

Well the electric car is about as practical and about as likely to take over from the internal combustion engine anytime soon.

Christ on a bike, maybe learn about something and understand it before you head back out onto the horse you use to travel around on.

Druss, I've have you know that I've owned 4 electric vehicles in my life, and that's 4 more than you.

Here's a picture of Daisy, who finally went to the scrappy a couple of years ago.

If Tesla need advice they can ring me anytime.

Once the tesseract faster-than-light-travel conundrum is solved, things like cars and lorries will be quaint museum pieces.

Which does nothing but prove how much greener it is than fossil fuels.

You won't need to charge your car on your council estate in 30 years because you won't have a car. You'll just order whatever vehicle you need when you need it and it will turn up. Why own a vehicle doing nothing outside the building you are in for 98% of the time? Why have a four seater car to carry you around that is too big for your needs until you need to move furniture then it's suddenly too small? And we pay a fortune for this sub-optimal situation too.

You won't have traffic problems, lack of car parking, congestion, inadequate roads, etc etc. Driverless cars will do for transport what the internet did for communication and I can't wait.
