Non - What to watch?

A good war film to watch from a German point of view
The story follows a group of German soldiers, from their Italian R&R in the summer of 1942 to the frozen steppes of Soviet Russia and ending with the battle for Stalingrad.

Watched this in full last week for the first time in years - the subtitle version .
A brilliant film .

Watched the last 3 episodes last night and they were better, few twists in the story as well.

See the TV version of the Ipcress File starts on Sunday.

In the ITV and AMC+ adaptation of The Ipcress File, arriving in March 2022, Joe Cole (star of Peaky Blinders and Gangs of London) takes on the iconic role of Harry Palmer, based on the globally renowned Len Deighton novel from 1962 and made famous by Michael Caine in the 1965 spy thriller. Filming took place in Liverpool, Cheshire and Croatia in 2021 and it's set to air in 2022.

Hopefully the stories will match the attention to period detail , too often these series fantastically reproduce an era but ruin it with either modern dialogue or a modern pc /woke version .

I shall be watching …

Finished yesterday, but well worth binging in catch up. The Great British Pottery Throwdown on Channel Four.

Proper nice television for these rubbish times.

You don't need to know or care about pottery, it just lovely happy tv.

Not sure if anybody else had problems getting the second episode of the Ipcress File on ITV Hub, it was showing, but when clicked on it said this episode is no longer available.

So went over to BritBox and watched the next two episodes there, good sound quality and NO adverts.

If you enjoyed The Stranger, Harlen Coben’s Stay Close is worth a watch. Good thriller set in and around the Blackpool area, 8 episodes on Netflix.

Just watched it over two nights, plenty of twists and in the end any loose ends are tied up in the story.

See there is another Harlan Coben British crime drama called The Five starting tonight on Sky Max and the first two episodes start at 9 pm, it was first shown on Sky in 2016. There are 10 episodes in all.

watched the bryan robson documentary on prime last night. forgot what a good player he was, and great seeing footy from the 80's when things seemed a lot more exciting. a good watch.
