Well Done AFCB Recruitment !

Suddenly, and in a change of way some on here perceive things, they now choose to believe we have spent £4M, rather than take the official "Undisclosed" line.

Funny how people use the English language to suit.

You’d moan if we made no signings with as you always put it ‘no way back to the promised land’ now we’ve made some cheap quality additions you still have a negative slant on it. Sad really.

Regarding the right wing question, it's probably our shallowest position in the sense that we only have one player that specializes/prefers it, Brooks. As others have mentioned, most of our forward line players are serviceable there (Stan/Anthony/Lowe/Rogers) but not their preferred position. One option that has gone unmentioned in recent discussions is Smith/Stacey. Once both are healthy, having one as right back and one as right wing is an option, we all know Smithie is capable of a curler and Stacey has had a number of good looking cutbacks. But again it's a "they'll do" situation, not a specialist.

At least we won't have to see Leif "allergic to his own right foot" Davis on the right wing again. That's not to slander Davis, I think he's a good player and he's shown good engine when he's been on, but when we used him as right wing he had a chance to easily cross with his right during a breakaway level with the six yard box that he then decided to pirouette around and scuff with his left that was hilariously bad.

"capable of a curler"....? Errr, I'm not quite sure what that means !

Hi SDD can you tell me about the player we were going to get from Man City, with an option to buy, I've forgotten his name and have we got him, sounded a good guy.
Yes. Up to SP and the coaches to integrate them now so the team gels. This will be the biggest challenge. I see the Lowe and Christie signings as key. Will be interested to see what our ultimate best 11 will be - guess it depends on who we play as well. I don't think any of the players will be able to take their selection for granted now and I wouldn't like to predict how we will line up. Lots of injury cover, ability to rotate and a "stay focused or your place is under threat" message to the players. We are also able to cope with a couple of potential departures in January now if the right offers come in. This is proper forward thinking. Now let's get behind this squad and start singing more at home matches as we've been pretty pathetic in that regard in my opinion. The crowd is like the 12 player after all.
I recall that we were after a young lad from Man City....did it materialise if not, why not Ta.

Think he might have gone to Sheffield United for more game time but we do have Rogers from Man City.

I think there will be shocks to come in this league this season.. I don't think Fulham and WBA will runaway with anything...not if clubs are determined to stand up to them and not quiver and shake at the sight of them...they ain't that good...and I don't think QPR will be as phased as us about Real Fulham and West Bromjuventus !
F√cking laugh I does at how fans put clubs (ours too) on pedestals... we assume these mighty pinnacles...then along come Blackpool or Barnsley and blow it all to bollux.
We get out there..on a pitch...and take No Prisoners...the only way !

Elitism...Rife !
