True however I actually think in the limited time they had (of which we had barely any play), Solanke did better than Stanislas who it’s very clear isn’t even up to the pace of the Prem, let alone the technical aspects.

Does anyone know where the heck Danjuma is?! Not even on the bench or playing U23 games if coming back from an injury?!

£25m+ completely wasted on him and Kelly

A bit over dramatic to say it's wasted, they've been injured... Danjuma was still in Qatar last week receiving treatment.
 
Why are we so expert at signing

a) injury prone players such as Danjuma, Kelly, Stanislas, Brooks
b) crap players like Ibe, Solanke, Surman, Begovic

Of course we do dig up some treasures like Ake and Ramsdale, but when you surround them with support players who are not up to the job, it negates the treasures.

Why did look like he had been crying just before he gave his post match interview. For god sake Man Up Eddie!

Could you provide some statistics comparing to other clubs as to why you feel our signings are bad please? I think you'll find the numbers are on par with everyone else when you go into it.

Calling Kelly injury prone when he got crocked by Arter in training is harsh as well.
 
Given our catastrophic injury list and our poor recruitment we needed a solid new face to be brought in to bolster our weak midfield.So if Eddie has all the post match answers why don’t the team perform. Billy Sharpe only scored twice this season both in the last minute against us.Why take off Fraser‘s threat and bring on Stanislas and Solanke,just what they wanted.
What does Solanke actually bring to the team,not a game changer,wide player,striker or forceful midfielder?
You have to fear for the worst failure to take points off of those near us and surrendering leads in the last minutes of play to others.
 
Another bad day at the office, outplayed by a style of play based on working harder than the opposition.
If afcb had got to half time without letting in a goal, if Frassrs shot hadnt been so well saved....
The defeat was more lack of ability than attitude, ake and rico gave their all, surman set the tone for the second half pressure by negative passing back and sideways, stanislas isnt match fit and he and solanke arent players for a physical opposition. Too many poor pases in the final third and dodgy playing from the back.

It was better than I've seen for a while, but it just wasn't good enough. Their first goal was coming (but what was that player screaming in Callums face for?), and the second was very soft.

I agree our play-acting has gone beyond gamesmanship and its frankly really embarrassing to watch.

I am finding long journeys more difficult due to back-ache, and quite frankly the enjoyment factor is dropping significantly. I'll go to Anfield as I've not yet seen us play there, but I think the longer trips are out until I sort my stupid back out.

Absolutely, is it any wonder that we don't get more genuine fouls, when refs see us fannying about and acting more like the Royal Ballet lead dancers.......(n)
 
Josh King's easy-come-easy-go cameo was a worry.
He needs to get Old Trafford out of his head and concentrate on the job in hand.

All in all though, I thought the determination was still evident. That was the most important takeaway for me. On another day, we'd have taken points from yesterday.

Feeling quietly optimistic for Turf Moor. UTC.

You really are making something out of the short time King was on the pitch? His first game back? How could you tell he was thinking of Old Trafford during the game!?

FFS there's some crap on here sometimes! Most of it by me, but not always.

Poor recruitment - that kind of statement annoys me, sorry. Nothing wrong with recruitment last summer.

We needed a new face - yes we probably did but you must have seen numerous interviews during January, where it was stated quite clearly how we were looking but it was massively tricky getting the right players?? Not many PL teams did do much in January either.

This thread contains posters complaining calling going down under a challenge cheating while complainig about how injury prone the squad is.:slap:

Need to make up their minds, either you want players to "man up" ( :sick: ) take the hard tackles and fill the treatment room or you want them to force the referee to make a decision and the keep the injury list shorter.

You have got the most terrible opinions on football I've ever read. So bad in fact that they simply must be deliberately bad. To have Surman down as a crap signing is utter shite.
