Reliably informed that there will be stewards at the ends of all the rows, checking that the ticket holder is in the right row. Every single person, every single time. Doomed, we're all doomed.
Did Scunthorpe away in the late 70s, maybe 1978?
There were 27 of us on the coach and it was the only supporters coach. I suppose that there must have been one or two northern based Cherries but that was about the norm for northern away days.
We always took a good mob to Aldershot or Reading...
Going back to the Charlie George game against Posh, I have a memory of Eddie Kelly playing for us in that game. Both of the Arsenal cup winning goal scorers of the '71 final...Probably imagining it.
Also Jimmy Neighbour came down here in the early 80's. Played at Exeter when we got spanked 4-2...
Unless it was a different Keith Scott the one I remember banged them in for fun in the Western League (partnered Ted Mac on more than one occasion) and was here on a permanent basis.
I only have the word of a steward at the Ethiad on Saturday but apparently we had less than a thousand fans there. Certainly the queues for beverage were short.
Southern Peloponnese had a good downfall on Saturday afternoon and temperatures in the high 20s. Never thought that I would be travelling to the "septic isle" for sunshine.......
Which from memory was called off and we had to go up on a Tuesday night, freezing cold (although not as cold as I was on that effing terrace on Saturday) and we didn't turn up. See Ipswich away a couple of years later...Portsmouth...Millwall..............
Couldn't disagree with this more.
First half against us he missed two open goals and unless we are going to borrow Cardiff's towel and start playing percentage football then he will be yet another in the series of underwhelming target men.
