Rushed into Royal Bournemouth with another suspected bout of sepsis. Sadly is suffering from a strong aftereffect of hiss near death in Jan. PTSD took over and he stupidly self discharged. He says that if he's going to die it's going to be at home! Still hanging on mentally, virtually all of his...

    Non..A nasty night

Last night my Son's house in Christchurch caught fire and the upper floor was burnt out (structure not damaged apart from windows popping) every thing on that floor was destroyed, TV melted etc. The saddest thing of all was that their dog was asleep on one of the beds and never woke up, but...

So how strong is our squad?

Given the excellent signing of Senesi it seems we have gone up a level with our signings. Players like Moore have given us a bit more bite up front. Some players have released statements about their commitment to the cause. Have we got enough to make a fist of it?

    Non HM The Queen

70 years ago today King George VI passed away. Princess Elizabeth became Queen and is now the longest ever reigning British Monarch. I love HM, I feel she's been a great servant and ambassador for this country. Please let's not turn this into a Royal Love/Hate thread. Try and remember what you...

    Mr Andrew Windsor

According to the BBC and some papers HM The Queen has stripped Andrew of his royal titles and any military ranks he holds due to the ongoing sex trial. Just how true this is remains to be seen. Mr Windsor is now a private citizen just like me!

    Non Van-Tam, Whitty et al

Pleased to see Professors Van-Tam and Whitty have been Knighted, also Jenny Harries becoming a Dame. Anyone involved in the speedy development of the vaccines and getting it into people's arms deserves recognition. Nice to see Joanna Lovely become a Dame too! Downside is the B-liar creature...

    Non A nice distraction

I've lived in my house for nearly 39 years and was very surprised yesterday. Two deer came right up to our back gate, a doe and her fawn. My wife managed to get a photo of the doe but the fawn scampered. Never seen deer anywhere near before. We live close to Yellow Buses depot behind Castlepoint.

    Non Harbhajan Singh

Probably one of the world's greatest spinners has finally retired from all forms of cricket at the age of 41. With 711 international wickets to his name and no mean batsman or fielder either I really enjoyed watching him play for India.

    Tipping Point Idiot?

Question: 'In one of his epic poems Homer said that nectar was the drink of the gods, what did he say was the food of the gods'? Answer: 'Well I know Homer likes doughnuts so I'll say that'! Presenter trying not to laugh: 'No it was Ambrosia'. He then explained that Homer was an Ancient Greek...

    Air show crash

It amazed me that there were no serious injuries. A few yards to the right and it's on the Haven Hotel front with possible fatalities. Either pure luck but sounds like the pilot did well to miss everything.
