I thought CCV was OK in the Championship but that was it. He’s not Premier League quality in my opinion and there’s a reason there’s never been interest from that level for him.

He wasn’t quite quick enough either IMO. I remember him getting the run round against Southampton’s B team.

Anyone who claims Cookie was faultless has a very short memory span. I love the guy and on his day he was class but he certainly wasn’t perfect and did struggle a bit to perform consistently at the top level. It’s not really a criticism though because if he was the model of consistency then he wouldn’t have been playing for us in the first place!

Have a look at the highlights from previous seasons on AFCBTV. There are some awful defensive mistakes all around. It made me realise how far we've come along defensively even if we have been in a lower division for two seasons.

What are you talking about? In both cases the defender is outjumped by the attacker. It happens to most defenders when up against decent forwards.
