Ibe often appears incapable of making sensible decisions, so why think he'll suddenly do 'the right thing' now?
The bigger picture is that you, us, people generally, can't use logic when trying to assess another person's choices, mental health issue or not.
Everybody is wired differently, you can't project your values, processes, etc onto someone else.
Just because you think you know the difference between right and wrong, and even if the other person professes to know the same, that doesn't mean they'll actually do the right thing and they might not even be able to help themselves in doing the wrong thing.
Of course, it is possible he's a piss-taker but ask yourself, why would someone, anyone, spend four years at a club intentionally and steadily dismantling their own career, reputation and prospects?
There's arrogant and cocky but Ibe's been on a self-destruct mission, which is very different.
